The Den Portland

The Den is a popular large dance and community events space in inner Southeast Portland. We are renting this entire space for the weekend of September 13, 14, and 15, 2024 for our urban panqueer gathering.

While we adore our Pacific Northwest forests and sacred land, this venue provides us the proximity, adjacent eating establishments, facilities, ability to go home to our own beds - most of us, security, and container for our festival themed around community, belonging, and intimacy.

The venue has three large spaces for our three concurrent workshop/playshop offerings, the larger opening and closing ritual space, a couple of smaller rooms we’ll be utilizing for rest and connection, a front receiving area, and a loungey area in the middle.

Parking is available on nearby streets, and carpooling is encouraged. Public transportation via TriMet is available on bus line 15 from the east and west, and the Max Red Line going north and south on nearby Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.

The space is ADA accessible (Americans with Disabilities Act) with a ramp leading up to the front door, and all rooms being on ground level. Bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

We ask that festival participants not use strong scents in consideration of those with sensory sensitivities.
